Updated Envelope Clutch

clutches3

The updated Envelope Clutch pattern is ready today! Very happy to have finalized the updates to this pattern. In the past few years I’d like to think that I’ve learned a lot about patterns and instructions. I’ve hopefully grown to be a better pattern writer that has user-friendly, beautiful and easy-to-sew projects.  Every time I see someone sewing up a project from one of my patterns I am just floored. And I want you to know I’m grateful to be able to share sewing with you all!

So the Envelope Clutch pattern got an overhaul! It now includes cutting layouts and super clear illustrations. I had a few pattern testers look everything over and they gave me great feedback.

There are two clutch sizes, the large clutch fits an ipad mini and has measurements and instructions to make it fit a regular ipad. The small clutch is great for when you don’t want to haul a large bag around, date night anyone?! It’s also the perfect gift to pass along to your friend or even make some for your bridesmaids (or you could also con your friend who sews into making you some).

In honor of the overhaul, today the newly revised Envelope Clutch pattern special price. For the next 24 hours the pattern will be $6.00. After that it’ll move back to it’s regular price of $7.00.

I’m excited to use mine as the other samples were given away to friends. Now to pick which one I keep!

My son is being issued an Ipad from his school. I think I will make this in some Fabrics he loves to protect it. He is only 8 and autistic, so I know if I don’t protcet it in something it will get broke. I want to use the cloud 9 fabrics “Don’t let the piegon drive the bus”. Thanks so much for this pattern, just the rigt timing.

We’ve had great success with the Otterbox cases for iPads. We’ve let our daughter occasionally use ours since age 2. She banged it into the wall, dropped it, and stepped on the corner – no damage.

It’s really nice that you go back and update a pattern! I was at the dentist this afternoon and the hygienist went gaga over my 241 bag….I directed her to you!;)

Hey Karen, just resent you the new file. I’ll be re-sending to all who purchased the old version, just working my way through the list. 🙂

Just love your patterns and your eye for colors in your selection of fabrics. Purchased it prior to knowing you sent me the new file update. Can’t wait till your book is available. Thanks for looking out.

Ahh it’s so cute! How finicky of a pattern would you say it is?

    1. Anna Graham says:

Hi Kelsey! I’d say an advanced beginner can tackle this. There are lots of options to leave the somewhat tricker parts off, so you can definitely make it easier if needed! 🙂 Hope that helps.

    Anna
I’m confused on the directions putting the back 2 pieces and front flap together – should the the small flap end up being inside the other pieces?

    Thanks
    Kerri
