a collection of sorts

You know that pillow I made for my bed, right?  Well, it just so happens we’re at the stage here that anything my daughter’s see, they have to have one too.  Of course I can’t say no.  Pillows are just the easiest way to add some fun to any room and change them out when you’re tired of them.

I tried and tried to find some cute clothing pattern that I could use to make something out of this half yard of carmel town I had gotten.  It was driving me kind of crazy.  Just a half yard, and I had the hardest time finding a coordinating print.  Seems like the Japanese prints just have a bit of a different color palette.

Anyway, I ended up finding this lovely zig zag print by Ann Kelle.  Love it.  I had to order more of her prints too, right up my alley.  Bold, bright, and fun!

So now Natalie can add yet another pillow to her collection…

** Just want to add in about the tree:  I had saw a similar pic on the BH&G website about 3 years ago, I used chalk to draw the tree on the wall and then painted it by hand with regular craft cheapo craft paint.**

Such cute pillows and I love the tree branch! Also wanted to thank you for posting the gathered clutch tutorial around Mother’s Day. I finally got around to make a couple and they are darling. I really appreciate all the free tutorials you make — I know they take a lot of time and effort and I appreciate it so much!
