New Pattern! Minimalist Wallet

I hope your holiday season is off to a great start! I’m so happy to share that my newest pattern, the Minimalist Wallet, is now available in my shop! You may remember that this pattern was included in the Dots issue of Making magazine this past spring. And since I can’t stop with making different versions of just about everything I sew, I’ve added an additional size to the pattern. So there’s a regular size and a mini! You know I love a mini!

Normally I don’t have 5 months to test drive a new pattern, but I made my mini version for myself in June and have been loving it so much. If you’re the type of person that needs just a few basics this wallet is for you! It’s called the Minimalist Wallet for a reason, but it really does pack a punch! The regular size has three card slots (which can actually have cards doubled up if you need up to 6 or so), a zippered pocket, and a long pocket behind the zippered pocket – perfect for cash, a checkbook or a phone. I can’t tell you how much I loved making this pattern, and it is so exciting to me how useful it is. The mini size has a front pocket for cards (again, it can hold at least two cards comfortably if needed), a zippered pocket, and a pocket behind the zippered pocket. I’ve used mine with two cards in the front pocket, coins in the zippered pocket, and cash/extra cards in the pocket behind the zippered pocket all summer. And man, I feel so on top of my wallet game.

The things I love most about this wallet is that it uses a small amount of fabric, it’s sooo useful, and that snap tab. It adds such a pretty detail. The snap tab can be made using fabric or leather and I can admit I don’t know which version I love more!

And what’s super exciting is that I’ve added the zippers for both wallet sizes in my shop, and those 4″ ones – don’t get me started, they’re sooo cute. The snap kits are back in stock, too! The regular size wallet requires two size 24 snaps and the mini just needs one size 20 snap.

7″ Zippers (regular size wallet) || 4″ Zippers (mini size wallet) || Size 24 Snap Starter Kit (regular size wallet) || Size 20 Snap Starter Kit (mini size wallet)

So please stop by my shop to pick up your copy of the Minimalist Wallet pattern if it’s something that speaks to you. I’ve really enjoyed designing it and using mine. Have a great day!

I made a large size when I bought the making magazine. (Your pattern was the reason I bought the dot edition). Anyway LOVE mine. It fits perfectly in my small crossbody bag. Thanks for your great patterns Anna!

Loving this pattern. Just purchased it. I have a question…. When I print the pocket pattern piece for the standard size, it measures 8 1/4 length. The piece it is attached to is 8 1/2? I checked my print of the piece and scale is correct. ???? What am I not seeing right?
    thanks

Hi Michelle, when the test box measures 1″ the width of the pattern piece for the large wallet is 8.5″. Something must be off if yours isn’t measuring to that width. I’ll send you a direct email. 🙂
