Some Sewing Progress - Noodlehead

Happy Friday! The sun is out and shining today plus my girls are home because there’s no school today. I love days like this! I figured it would be fun to pop in and share a couple of fun things I’ve been up to.

Last weekend I was lucky enough to spend a few days at a sewing retreat with my friends. It was just a blast and I so look forward to those times together. We hung out at Stitch Supply Co. in Eau Claire, WI and I highly recommend it. Ann has really thought of everything when designing the space! It was my third time there, the first time I went for another retreat and the other I was teaching at!

So at the retreat I worked on my double gauze quilt which was totally inspired/ripped off from my friend Jeni. You can see her finished quilt here and read all about her great tips, too. I followed suit and went with a random patchwork. I need to get a small bit of fabric to complete the backing and then it’ll be all set! I can’t wait to cuddle with it and have reserved a spot for it in my living room where it will live. So snuggly!

I also sewed up this infinity cowl thanks to my friend Deedee who just happened to have already made an infinity cowl out of the same fabric. Black and white, yes please. It went together in about 3 minutes and I wore it the rest of the trip.

I also walked away with a few fun gifts! My friend Amanda gave me a copy of her new (yes!!!!) book, No Scrap Left Behind. I’m so pumped about trying out a project or two. They’re all so pretty. I also scored some fabric and a needle wallet and this great tote bag.

I couldn’t be more grateful and feel so lucky to call them my friends.

Also, I’m working on getting some hardware kits together!

Happy weekend!
