I think I’ll go ahead and admit that this bench project (Patchwork Bench from my book Handmade Style) is one of the most favorite things I’ve made. It’s a project that gives me so much satisfaction in seeing the finished product. Knowing that I made it with my own two hands from the ground up gives me a huge sense of accomplishment every time I see it.
This is the Patchwork Bench project from my book. I hope I see a few finished ones popping up around soon! I’d love to see your take on it. Please don’t be intimidated by this project. I promise you’ll love making it. Most home improvement stores can cut the plywood needed for this project to the correct size right in the store. After that a bit of elbow grease and a drill will take you far.
Below are some links to the exact materials I used.
Foam: Air-Lite Regular Density Polyurethane
Batting: Soft N Crafty
Legs: McCobb Mid Century Modern Foot 8″
Straight leg plate: Waddell Table Leg Straight Top Plate
