Well, it’s been such a full and fun spring already! Throwing quilt market into the mix is going to be fun, too. Along with birthdays and anniversaries and mother’s day, it’ll be like a whirlwind! I’ve been sewing and sewing! It feels really great to finish so many things. And it’s really exciting seeing my fabric designs coming to life in real projects! There’s quite a bit coming up, my book *should* be hitting places any day now and I’m excited to hear what you think. I have such a huge backlog of things to blog about, so that’s refreshing! It’s been feeling a little too secretive around here for too long if you know what I mean.
I did manage to finish my kawaii quilt top before my fabric came for sample making. I didn’t plan to speed it along like that, but that’s just the way it goes sometimes. I think I’ll try and hand quilt it over the summer.
I hope to be popping in quick next week for a special kickoff for my book, so be sure to check back.
Are you getting excited to see all the new goodies for quilt market? I love seeing all the designers booths, always so amazing. If you’ll be at market, stop by, I’ll be hanging around my Rain Walk section of the Cloud9 booth.
I love to see what you are sewing Anna and I am happy to read, that you are happy.
Hugs Ines♥
Can’t wait to see you at Market! So fun!
Being a septuagenarian, there’s no way I’m going to start a quilt, but I am sure enjoying my divided basket pattern and looking forward to making a larger messenger bag, some soft luggage and purses and totes. Serious sewing, all. How I do love that divided basket!
Beautiful!! Love your work.
Love that bag – what is it?
Very nice bag and love the fabric in your quilt.
I wish I could be at Quilt Market!! You are going to knock it out of the park!
You’ve been so busy – I can’t wait to see everything!
So much fun! Saw your book at nido yesterday – can’t wait to sew more out of it!
I am impatiently waiting for summer, when Rain Walk becomes available. I have several projects in mind for your gorgeous fabrics! It’s going to be SEW CRAZY (*groan*) around here when I bring home the truckload of fabric I plan to buy….(Note to self: probably need to find someone with an actual truck.)
I love the simple runner you did with the rain walk! Perfect for this time of year too. Fun colors. I can’t wait to get my hands on your book!!! I have been patiently waiting since you first mentioned it. I’ll have to do some investigating to see where I can get it near me. Your Kawaii quilt is so cute! It might be cute to mix in some string knots as part of the quilting along with the hand quilting. Maybe even do some different colored strings. Just an idea. It sort of reminds me of a quilt I got in my childhood that I still have 🙂
so many good things to celebrate! i cannot wait to get my hands on that book and the fabric…
Can’t wait for the book! I pre-ordered it on Aug 28. Amazon still not showing an estimated ship date …hope it’s soon!. Have fun at Quilt Market.
