Sewing

Modern Sewciety + Teaching + Summer

Hi all! Hope you’re having some fun enjoying the sunny weather! Just wanted to pop in to share a few things today. I was lucky enough to be asked by the lovely Stephanie to have a chat on her podcast: Modern Sewciety.  Have you joined in to hear her interviews? I’ve been catching them on and off for a few months now and they’re so fun to listen to.  I like to tune in when I have some hand sewing to finish.

So check out Episode 27 (or subscribe to the podcast on itunes) and you can find out all about me and my sewing (and maybe even get in a good laugh).

I’ll also be teaching a few classes coming up in the next couple months. On July 26th I’ll be at the Sewcial Lounge in Madison, WI.  We’ll be making a 241 Tote and having fun! There are two sessions of class that day, and I believe there are a few openings in the afternoon session.  You can register online. I’d love to see you there!

At the end of June I’ll be teaching at my local quilt shop: Olive Juice Quilts. I’ll help guide you through making a Super Tote!  I think the class might be full already, but if you want to check it out, you can read more here. I can’t wait to make another Super Tote (or two!). If you aren’t local though, they just started selling some of their fabric online, you can find tons of great fabric that you probably can’t find elsewhere anymore (Nani Iro, Kokka, Echino, and more)!

Posting might be a little sporadic in this space this summer (or at least the first month or so).  I have the great honor of being able to stay home with my girls and I’m looking forward to fun adventures with them. I want to soak up every minute! I don’t want to miss out on this seriously awesome time in our family. I’m also working on some behind the scenes type fun, so I’m sure that’ll be keeping me busy, too.

Hold the phone! You’re in MY neck of the woods?! Awesome! Sadly, I have too many other things going on the last Sat in June, otherwise I would beg and plead to get into your class.
