Koi Cargo Duffle

Surely you didn’t think I was kidding when I said I had another Cargo Duffle finished? Okay, so here’s the other Cargo Duffle I made for one of the classes that I taught.  It was really fun picking out these fabrics.  I love the Koi (Rashida Coleman-Hale for Cloud 9 Fabrics) and think the rest of the colors really bring it all together.  I added a few simple stitches to the front pocket just to add some interest.  I think I like it.

Hope you’re joining along on C’est La Vie‘s Sew Along.  And take a minute to review my last post that has some tips and be sure to download the updated file right on over at Robert Kaufman.

I’ve seriously had so much fun making these duffles, but I think I have enough now as they’re starting to fill my front coat closet.  I’ll need to make some little plan to get them out my door.

Here’s to moving on to more fun stuff!  I’ve got a blazer that I’ve been waiting to make for so long!  I’m super pumped about it.  What new things are you sewing?  Already changing gears for Spring?

I love your cargo duffles and have saved the pattern! Do you suggest a heavier fabric for the outside, like a home dec or will quilting cotton work? Thanks for your help!

I desperately need some advice on setting the snaps. I can’t get the Dritz setter to work with the size 24 snaps even though it says it should. Once I get my snaps on, my bag is all done! Arrggg…..

Your duffles are so adorable! Heavens, all you have to do is put a price on them here on your blog and I’m sure you would sell out immediately and have dozens of special orders!!! I know I will never make one (I have 40 quilts I need to quilt first), so I’d buy/order one!

  20. Those sweet stitches are a great touch!

  21. Love it! (like all the others) If you really need help getting rid of them, I’m sure I can help πŸ˜‰ I just got back from a trip to IKEA, so it’s sewing room makeover time for me. Yippee!!

  26. I love this bag and can’t wait to make one! It’ll be the perfect carry on bag. I love the brass snaps you did here. Thanks for the beautiful design.

  27. It looks great. I especially like the blue handles with the pink pockets, and I love the grey on the blue handles.

  28. Keami says:

Is it possible to use the surfer for putting the prices together? Or should I just stick with the sewing machine? I just figured a nice finish with a serger would be cool
