Vintage Quilt Revival: Blog Hop

Hi there!  Today I’m lucky enough to be included in the blog hop for Faith, Lee, and Katie‘s new book: Vintage Quilt Revival!

These ladies did a wonderful job of putting this book together, it’s very well thought out and all the projects are just beautiful!  There’s even a CD with the templates included, love that option.  The book goes through instructions for 20 different traditional blocks and then incorporates the blocks into quilt and different projects.  I really enjoyed the way it’s organized, specifically showing you ideas of what to make from the blocks is really perfect.  And the colors in the projects are so happy and colorful!

This isn’t a typical blog hop because each of the participants made a block from the book and the three author’s are putting together charity quilts with them!  I love being able to give back.  I think it was very thoughtful of them to put the blocks to good use.  I know the quilts will be met with open arms.

My block from the book was the Mayflower block (I had quick snapped a pic before it started raining). Whew, have to admit I struggled and it’s still far from perfect.  It was one of those sewing nights where nothing really seemed to be going my way.  In the end though it’ll be beautiful paired with the other blocks and quilted.

Thanks again to Katie, Lee, and Faith!

You can purchase the book on Amazon: Vintage Quilt Revival: 22 Modern Designs from Classic Blocks (affiliate link), or at the Interweave Store here.

I’m on a book buying diet, but that book is at the top of my list and that was before I knew it came with a CD!
