buggy sleeping bags

I had this fabric stack set aside for so long to make the girls some stuffed animal sleeping bags.  After I saw the tutorial on Apple Cyder last fall I had it on my to-do list!  I love stuffed animals just as much as my girls (probably more).  I just do.  And I can’t help but getting cute ones even though they can be something that just takes up so much space around the house.  Emily got her big buggy and little buggy for her birthday and Natalie got a big penguin to match her baby penguin.
I decided I needed to get out of my grumpy mood the other day, so I sat down and sewed these up.  They really don’t take any time at all, which is so nice. This would actually be an awesome project to a) use up scraps of batting or b) practice free motion quilting or straight line quilting designs!
I adjusted the sizes to try and fit our stuffed animals better, the big one could have been bigger yet, but I love how they squish in there anyway.  It was so cute to tuck the girls in with their stuffed animal friends in bed the other night.

My girls would love this! I must make. Their stuffed animals only have stupid skirts to wear and most of them look ridiculous.

LOVE THESE! I think Frankie, Em’s special elephant, really needs one. She puts all of her elephants to bed every night but do I have enough stamina to sew 10? Not really. πŸ˜‰
