quilting

monday, monday

Just felt like popping in today and showing you what I’ve been up to these past few days…

finally started working on a project just for me that I’ve been wanting to do for a long time, I’m loving it

peonies are blossoming in the back yard

and my One Line a Day journal arrived, I’m hoping this will be great for all those times I say “I should really write that down!”  [first spotted this cool journal here and then here]

Hope you had a great weekend. What’ve you been up to lately?

I love peonies. I need to try to make some of the crepe paper variety I’ve seen on Martha so I can have them year around… ahh… to many projects and too little time. 🙂 Have a great day!

    That Peony is amazing!

Can’t wait to see your quilt!! Love the colors and the peony. 🙂 The one line journal is a great idea too. 🙂

I’ve been slowly crossing off things on my “to sew” list, trying to clean out the house, and building up courage to try a very non fancy quilt for our bed.

I love peonies, mine are blossoming too. I put some in every room of my house, I love having fresh cut flowers from the garden!

I have the one line a day as well. I’ve been doing it since Feb and haven’t missed a day. I can’t wait for the year to roll over and see where I was and where I’m going!

  7. Oooh, looks like a quilt! Curious, curious…

Love that journal, and I’m ordering one for myself! Thanks so much!!!
Have fun with your binding – it’s one of my favourite parts of a quilt. 🙂

My peonies have just started opening, too — They must be one of my favorite flowers EVER! So pretty, and they smell so good!

I have heard of the One Line a Day journal! Sounds like a fantastic idea!!

I’m intrigued by the yellow and pink wonder being put together up there. Show and tell soon. I’m thinking of making a bolster for my bed, a la you. So I was thinking of you as I walked through Joann. Also I love the idea of that one line a day journal!

Beautiful photos. I’m jealous of your peony! How fun to have them in your yard! Can’t wait to see your finished project!

that journal is GENIUS. something i would love to buy but know that i’d never stick with it – hope you have more staying power, it’s such a gorgeous idea!

  17. Gorgeous, gorgeous quilt! I am in love with the colors. 🙂 And I have the exact same one line a day memory book. I can’t believe I have not missed a day since the first of the year! It’s the perfect size and I adore the color. 🙂

I’m cheating and commenting like three posts but about all of the posts. 🙂

First, your quilt is gorgeous. Your fabric choice is always so inspiring. I liked seeing an ikea side table as your night stand too. I tried to convince jared we needed those for our bedroom but he wanted something bigger so we got two white 4 cube expedit shelves instead.

And I love how you draped your quilt on the side of a bridge. It’s almost like you were showing the world your beautiful quilt!

Second, that quilt bingo idea is so smart! Owen is so fun to run errands with by himself for that reason. He’ll keep busy with quiet things like that, or chat with me, etc. When I get both my boys together though, it is nuts!

And Third, I love that journal. I used to have a journal like that, but not as pretty. You’ve inspired me to just write a line in my current journal every day. I did a picture a day on my family blog last year but that was so time consuming. This I can manage.

Thanks Anna for always brightening my day when I read your blog.

  19. I just had to tell you, my hubby gave me the One Line a Day journal and I LOVE IT! I’ve used it everyday or filled in a day missed the next day. I can’t wait to see what I did 5 years ago when I fill in the 5th line in 5 years. Does that make sense? Ha!
