now that’s crazy talk

my little girl turned 2 last weekend

is she really not a baby anymore?!

we got her the perfect present: paints, markers, a drawing pad of her own, and play-doh
And of course I’m happy to tell her “yes!”, when she asks: “Paint Mama, paint?”

Happy Birthday!! She’s so sweet!! Mine is grown up but I can remember those days- enjoy!! I love the picture of your beagle, Pepper. My husband had beagles for years until the last one, Bumb, had to be put to sleep. He looked alot like your Pepper! He was an EXCELLENT pet and we miss him terribly. They make such good pets and companions!! So loyal and wanting to please you!!

  10. Yes, she can still be your baby even if she’s too (and adorable)!

What a great gift!! When my girls were little they also loved stickers and paper. Sometimes they would spend an hour decorating papers with stickers and sending them off in their pretend mailbox. Enjoy!

My own children are far from two (soon to turn 25 and 22), but the memories of those days are precious to me.
The birthday presents you chose are perfect. When I was a nursery school teacher, I was always shocked and saddened when children would tell me that they were not allowed to paint or play with play dough at home because it was too messy. When I talked to parents they would say, “That’s why I send them to school. If I let them paint at home, they will wreck my house.” Children need a chance to be creative every day in their own homes as well as at school. You obviously already know that and are providing room for her imagination to run free.
Thanks for sharing the photo. I regret there were no digital cameras when my children were growing up. It would have been so much easier to capture the little moments that vanish so quickly.

trust me, you only have 3 more years for cuddling & kissing her (whenever you want) before she thinks she’s ‘big’ enough for that 🙂
    Enjoy..
