headbands

Here’s a quickie I made for N’s birthday last week.

 Headbands!
Now, she usually doesn’t like anything in her hair, but with summer coming up this will do the trick.  I loved the way they turned out and that they’re reversible.  Can’t beat that.  I did try a couple different widths to see what would stay in better and I’d say the thinnest version stays put longer.  I’ll be making some for myself of course.

Have a great weekend, see you Monday with our first kitchen tutorial for Spice up your Kitchen

Lovely hair bands. Wish I still had little daughters I could make them for; probably have to wait till I’m a grandma ;).

Awesome! And a great way to use up scraps. I’ll be trying this. Thanks!

  13. ooo like these.. very simple very smart. I’ve been looking for a design that would be good for school for my daughter. I’ve got some old winter uniform kilts to recycle in green/blue tartan – this pattern might just be the answer.

I’ve been making these for my daughter, too. I don’t get it … why are headbands the only thing she’ll let stay in her hair?
