Sew Mama Sew Giveaway Day

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This giveaway is now closed!  Thanks to all who entered! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Horray for Giveaway Day!  I love giveaways, don’t you?  I’ve put together a couple little packages to give away.
The first package is a ‘boy’ package:
  • one lil cutie pouch, one reusable sandwich bag, and one robot pencil pouch
Second, is a ‘girl’ package:
  • one cupcake snap wallet, one reusable sandwich bag, 2 covered barrettes, and three ponytail holders
I figured it would be nice for the winner of my giveaway to pick which package they’d like to win.  Give it away to that special boy or girl in your life (or smuggle them away for yourself if you wish).
Then I thought I should add in a little extra something, so a little stash booster is in order:
  • 3 different prints: 2 half yard cuts plus about a fat quarter of material, yipee!
Want to enter??
Leave a comment. Tell me if you’d like the ‘girl’ package or ‘boy’ package.  And just for fun, tell me your favorite sewing tutorial, or one you’d just love to see written.
I’ll close the giveaway on Sunday, December 6th at 11:59 pm (CDT).  The winner will be selected randomly via random.org
PS make sure you leave me your email address if you don’t have it listed in your profile. This giveaway is open to international entries and the package will be shipped by December 12th.
Good luck, thanks for reading my blog, and thanks to Sew, Mama, Sew! for organizing another great Giveaway Day!
    Wow, so generous of you to share so much with us! I would love to see a few shirt tutorials for little girls or boys, somehow I can’t find a decent one in the shops (pattern that is) and would like just a bit of help to get me going! I just bumped into your blog (it’s wonderful!) and am happy to jump into your archives for a little while! Thanks for all you share (and either pack will be lovely – thanks, again.) and have a beautiful week πŸ™‚
It looks like you have already used one of my favorite tutorials. The Black Apple Doll. I have enjoyed making those dolls and they make lovely whips from fabric scraps. I fill the little arms and legs with rice so they have weight. Try it!
    What an amazing set of packages you’ve offered! We’d like a shot at the girl package, please.
    As for tutes, hrmmm… I think one I’ve gotten a lot of use out of was the one that showed how to make toddler pants from an adult t-shirt.
    (oh, and hello from another Dairylander, eh!)
  220. I’d love the boy package! And I don’t have a favorite tutorial as I am new to sewing and haven’t made much yet. sales4mp@gmail.com
    http://sewmamasew.com/blog2/?p=1371
  223. leigh7911 says:
    What a great giveaway! I like the boy package. I have a little girl, but she doesn’t yet have enough hair for the bows, and really. That pouch has robots on it. Who wouldn’t love that?! As for tutorials, the only one I’ve done so far is Pink Penguin’s little fabric basket. They’re really cute!
  230. rheawhite says:
    I love the boys one and have just the right kid in mind.
  232. Its boy package all the way in our house as I have a 4 year old nearly ready for school and a 3 month boy. The tutorial I would like is a magic place where someone posts a whole encyclopedia of things to make for boys. Everything is for the girls but boys are not so easy to find things for if you love sewing and somehow have to reduce your fabric stash before you allow yourself to buy anymore. So come on lets get making for the boys!!
  233. Wrongtree09 says:
  237. jess says:
    wow! great giveaway! hope i win!
  238. Heather says:
    I love them both – but I’d pick the boy package because I love the fabrics so much, and the zip pouch is awesome! Currently my favorite tutorial is the Charm Squares quilt up on Sew Mama Sew (from O Franson! I think). It is my first attempt at a quilt and I love how it is coming out! Not that I’ve done the actual quilting part yet, heh.
  239. KitKnitty says:
    I’d pick the boy set. And, my favorite online tutorial is for one I read a long time ago about how to unravel a thrifted sweater. It’s certainly made it a lot easier to afford wool!
  241. Cal says:
    Even though I have a girl, I think the boy set is so so cute I would choose it. I have a bunch of tutorials bookmarked, but seem never to come around to do any of them, as I am the type that improvises as I go along, like today when I sewed a Christmas stocking for my daughter.
  247. Punkinhead says:
    Oh, it’s definitely the boy package for me. Not only does my five-year-old love robots, but his lame mom didn’t buy him a pencil box for pre-K… you’d be saving my butt. πŸ™‚ great blog!!
    My son would be so excited to see handmade items in these give aways that are actually boy items. He love that robot fabric. I would love to see a simple poet shirt tutorial. One that gathers at the neck and sleeves with elastic or even ribbon. I could probably figure it out myself but I have not tried yet. ;o)
  251. I like the boy package. Hmmm, tutorial I love? It would have to be the kimono top on Habitual. I have made it twice and it is all kinds of cute and sews up so quick. I love it! Anywho, thanks for the opportunity!
  252. goodkarma says:
    What fun things, so sweet of you to offer these as a giveaway! I love both sets but would have to choose the girl set for my little dear. Thanks for the offer!!
  253. The Dodsters says:
    My boy wouldn’t have to carry his sisters purses anymore!! Love it.
    I have a couple tutorials that I’ve written on my blog (elizabethcarroll.wordpress.com) but right now I am loving the Phoebe bag tutorial (http://artsycraftybabe.typepad.com/tutorials/phoebe_bag.pdf)!
  279. Calico Road says:
    I like zippered pouch tutorials. I have a problem with buying bags o’ zippers at thriftstores, and then not doing anything with them because they kind of scare me. hehe
    I’d love to receive the boy package if i win.
    thanks!
  280. koley says:
    Love them both but I’d have to say girl.
    The tutorial I’ve used most recently is the one using the quilt patis plastic templates for making hexagons that was linked from sewmamasew. I bought them and got right to work!
    http://nikoleterry.typepad.com/arms_wide_open/
  281. I have a girl and a boy, so I’d like either! Do like the hair accessories though. I like the taggy baby blanket tutorial.
  282. Terisa says:
  290. Kari says:
    Love your giveaway, Anna! I would want the boy grouping – so adorable. And my favorite tutorial of yours is the Christmas stocking. πŸ™‚
  291. Mary Anna says:
    I’d totally go with the boy package, since neither of my sons really dig pink or hair clips. My favorite tutorial so far is one for a drawstring backpack from Make it Love it. I made them for my boys before our family vacation this summer. It was so nice that they each had a small bag to carry their junk around in – big enough for a sippy and some Hot Wheels but not so big that it became heavy. And, it was nice to be able to wash them after they were used to collect shells on the beach.
  292. Elizabeth says:
    i’d like the boy package! my most favoritest sewing tutorial is the classic tote bag tutorial at sew mama sew. i use it all the time!
  295. I love them both but i have three boys so i could equally divy that one up. I am learning to quilt and sew, so the practical tutorials are great: like how to bind a quilt or blind stitch.
  305. lalepop says:
    I have two little sweet girls, so I’d have to go with the girl package. Although the boy one is adorable!
    Sewing tutes — I love quick projects. With two little ones, I don’t have time to do big ones. I never get them done! So, quick purses, bags, and accessories are great.
    With two little girls, I’d have to go with the girl package. (But the boy one is adorable!)
    I like tutes for anything that doesn’t take a lot of time. My two little ones keep me too busy to undertake a big, long project. I adore tutes for hour-or-less projects.
    And I commented, but it showed an error and deleted it. If my comment shows up twice — sorry!
    While I think the girl package is just lovely and would want it for myself, I’d choose the boy package. It seems more things are girl oriented like cute handbags, pouches, dolls, blankies for the dolls, etc. My daughter gets more things and my son is often left out. So when I can, I try to make stuff for him. This set would be perfect.
    My favorite tutorial is the crayon roll. I use it so often for so many kid gifts.
    BTW – I just love your blog. Too bad I didn’t see the turkey placemat tutorial before last week.
    I have been searching all over for stylish boy clothing patterns, and even on etsy for pre-made clothing for boys. But it seems that everything is made for girls, or boys under age 6. My boy will be turning 8 this month; I would love to make some “cool” clothes for him.
    Both packages are great, but since my little boy (2 months) is too young to enjoy the boy package, I’d choose the girl package for my precious nieces! Lovely giveaway — thanks for posting!
    Hi! My baby girl would love that bundle! And I’d love the fabric. My favorite tutorial is one I’m attempting now, Molly Monkey.
    Thanks for a great giveaway.
  376. I like the boy package. As for tutorials, I found a cute snap purse tutorial, however I haven’t found a cute frame that I want to use, so I have been putting that off.
    adorable! I want both boy and girl! hehehe. If I HAD to pick, though, I’d choose the boy one, since boy stuff is so much harder to find. I love any tutorial, my fave of yours is the stocking one. I didn’t get to it this year, maybe next?!
    As much as I want those ponytail holders for myself, I have a son so I pick the boy set for him.
    Thanks for the link to the ‘Black Apple Dolls.’ I think it was a tutorial. I plan on checking back after entering more giveaways.
    Great prize!
    I’d choose the boy set. Those little bitty robots are so cute. I made this tutorial recently : Rice bag feet warmer with just a touch of this for the closure.
  381. My niece finally has hair long enough for things like a band so I am on the pink team.
    This year I am making dress-up clothes for her and have been hunting up and down for a good frog costume sewing tutorial. Yes, she loooves frogs.
