Well, this is a random weekend post, so I thought I’d share a few things. First the winners of the Social Tote Patterns and stamps are:
Jenny who said “Oh, please, me! Of course, I still haven’t made my Divided Basket yet, but still. The fabric I am really itching to order is a rainbow of Squared Elements. I am kind of afraid to order some for fear of not being able to stop, there are so many colors. Thank you!”
and Erica who said “I really like this tote! And the packaging on the pattern is just gorgeous, too. I have a couple fabric lines I am looking very much forward to. One is Nordika, by Jeni Baker, and the other is Waterfront Park, by Violet Craft. I think I will find some stash favourites in both lines. Thanks for the chance to win.”
Congrats! It was fun to read through all the comments about which fabrics you’re excited about. I was pretty floored when it seemed like a lot of you were pledging to sew with your stashes, yay!
In the mean time, I’m having fun trying to come up with some kind of branding scheme. With shipping wholesale patterns now I really need to get my butt in gear and get some business cards or postcards made up.
I’m thinking I’ll have to have a few different designs just because I’m always changing my mind.
I’ve been slacking on my knitting. So far I purchased yarn for the following projects:
Some orange for an Oatmeal Pullover sweater.
For a new honey cowl, this time the large version.
And some for a Dreiecke Hat.
It feels like fall is approaching here, but I think next week it’s supposed to be in the 90s again.
I’ve got a few fun surprises on the upcoming blog list, so I’ll be happy to talk about those soon. For now my machines are in for a tune up and cleaning and boy am I missing them. Maybe it’s time to pick up those knitting needles!
ps. the background fabric is from Maze & Vale!
Love your Thank you stickers, where did you order them from? Also I pinned the hat pattern, love the triangles!
the stickers are from a scrapbooking store. The brand says pebbles, they’re called chalkboard stickers. Hope that helps! Great hat isn’t it?!
Maybe you should try moo for your cards? Check out the mini business cards – you can choose a different design on the back of each one (per 100 cards). It’s a great way to dive in and get it done, especially if you can’t make up your mind.
yes, I love moo. so many decisions. 🙂 Thanks for the suggestion!
Yay me! Thanks again, I’m so excited. That dark teal yarn is fabulous.
Yummy yarn ~ I just picked up some Madelinetosh for a shawl…….it is soooo yummy soft.
I don’t think you’ll have any trouble branding –your website is already so well branded and you’ve got mad graphic design skillz 😉
Mmm! MadTosh is so delicious. It’s one of my favorite sock yarns!
I know sometimes you are in the Cities. What yarn shops do you shop at here if any? My neighborhood one just closed.
Oh I wish I knew! Actually Crafty Planet seems like they have a nice selection although I haven’t been there since I started knitting. 🙂
Congrats to the winners! Meh….I really wanted to win!
I purchased the social tote pattern and love it but wish ya’ll would make a bigger one!
Woot woot! so excited you’re going to make Dreiecke!!!!! YAY!!!! You’re the best luvs! Lovely yarn choices as well. Quince & Co is one of my top faves to knit with.
Congratulations to the winners. I love that MadTosh yarn. So perfect.
Love to see you knitting!!! I’m having yarn envy– I’m supposed to be stash knitting only. I’m also working on branding for my new site– It’s a commitment. It’s not just saying yes to one logo, but no to all the others! Cheering for you through all your new endeavors. Go Anna!
That Dreicke hat is fantastic – just <3ed it on ravelry… You will love the long honey cowl; I made one for my mom, and I covet it! I’m in the midst of baby sweaters. I think they’re easier to commit to when it’s still warm. xo
yes, we should make it together! I can’t wait to start my long honey cowl Erin!!! You’ll have to show me the ways of the baby sweater, seems so complicated!
Such lovely yarns and patterns! Can’t wait to see what you do with them! I am itching to bust out my hooks and crochet too. We are having some warm days, but the mornings are cold already. Fall is definitely here as well. 🙂
I recently discovered Quince and Co. Their yarn is really lovely. I am making a cardi with one of their patterns and chickadee yarn in peacoat (gorgeous navy). The yarn has a fantastic texture and knits up beautifully. Have fun with all your lovely yarn!
