Sewing

Camp Stitchalot!

Good morning!  I’m really happy to announce that I’ll be teaching at Camp Stitchalot in December!

If you haven’t heard about it until now I’ll fill you in on what it’s all about.  Camp Stitchalot is a sewing retreat hosted by Brenda of Pink Castle Fabrics and Rossie of Fresh Modern Quilts.  The big reason I couldn’t say no was because it’s in a great Midwest location:  Pleasant Lake , MI.  I love the Midwest and it’s a great central location.  I hope you’ll be able to join us.  It’ll be a weekend filled with sewing and hanging out.  It’s a smaller group of people, so it’ll be a great opportunity to make some new friends!  I’ll be teaching my 241 tote, Jeni’s (In Color Order) teaching a mystery pillow, and Debbie (Esch House Quilts) will be teaching a hot pad and casserole pad project.  How cool is that?!  It’s a great bunch of projects.  Plus, the bonus is that since it’ll be the beginning of December, you’ll have plenty of time to make and finish all those gifts on your Christmas list.  I can’t wait!

I was super excited to have been able to hang out with a few friends this past weekend.  It was great to be able to talk about sewing and blogging. Almost anyone else I know doesn’t quite understand it all, so it was really great.  I hope we can make it a yearly event!

We did some shopping and of course I had to take some pictures of some goodies I picked up.  A stop at the Sewcial Lounge and The Century House (nearly passed out from excitement in there).  It was really fun!!  Oh, and if you’re in Madison, Jeni’s Nordika launch party is July 12th at the Sewcial Lounge.

Anyway, I hope you’ll join us December 3-5 for Camp Stitchalot, I promise it’ll be a blast!  To register see here.  And for more information visit the Camp Stitchalot page.

I wish I lived closer so I could attend. Unfortunately, Philly doesn’t have any sewing workshops or retreats.

I have to ask you where you pruchased that polka dot fabric. I looked on the sites you provided and couldn’t find anything

The polka dot fabric is from the Habitat collection by Jay McCarroll. it’s a few years old, so it may be hard to find online. You could call the Sewcial Lounge, she had quite a bit left. 🙂

  2. Congrats, Anna! I know your class will be a huge success! Good luck 😉

I could certainly use some serious lessons. Wonder if there are similar events near me!?
